This is the 5th Summer Fayre that the Howard de Walden Estate has held and is a celebration of all that’s great about Marylebone – bustling market stalls, fantastic retailers, top quality entertainment, some of the best food and drink in London, and lashings of community spirit. Five years ago this was once a low key afternoon but has now become a hugely popular event. The Summer Fayre of 2008 was the biggest and best so far with approximatley 30,000 people attending.
As part of the fund raising we focused the whole of Paddington Street Gardens on Teenage Cancer Trust (TCT) hosting a festival of live music and al fresco eating and drinking. This consisited of civilised picnics whilst watching up-and-coming music talent. Thanks to the generosity of the zone’s additional sponsors, Kay & Co and Druce, every penny that was spent on food and drink in Paddington Street Gardens went directly to TCT.
The Howard de Walden Estate is extreamley grateful for all the hard work and generosity of everyone who makes this event possible. In particular, we’d like to thank Casablanca Marquees, Druce, Kay & Co, Marquee Magic, the Metropolitan Police, SFM Ltd, Sola Consultancy, Teenage Cancer Trust, Terminal Studios, Terry Wood, Tony Moore and Westminster City Council.
The date for the next Marylebone Summer Fayre is Sunday 14th June 2009. More information will be posted on this site at a later stage.

For the more active among them there will be a tennis school, bike rides, a climbing wall and the amazing Spider Mountain, while a drawing competition will provide some gentle respite. As usual, a traditional carousel will provide a colourful centrepoint to the Orange Zone. And good behaviour should be ensured with the presence of the local police, who will be manning a stall.
